    The time is right to join HNTB Corporation!  HNTB is currently seeking an Application Administrator I in our Charlotte, NC office.


    This position sets up, modifies and customizes systems to meet project needs, business procedures, workflows, change approvals, and client & HNTB needs.  Configures process workflows and sets up reporting into system when possible.  Communicates to project teams and clients.  Trains others on the system including the development of training documents.  Uses a variety of software and fully understands and leverages the functionality of each.  Generally works on lower complexity projects and/or assists on higher complexity projects.  Provides basic level of business analysis support.


    Job Summary

    Responsible for troubleshooting and resolving basic application issues that are assigned to the team. Also responsible for monitoring application performance, application deployments and ticket coordination for the team. Part of a 24/7 on-call rotation. Utilizes standard procedures or practices to resolve issues or receives regular guidance from others. Serves as escalation point for Service Desk.

    Essential Responsibility

    • Provides ticket management and coordination for team.
    • Provides tier 2 support for Service Desk.
    • Provides application performance monitoring and reporting.
    • Troubleshoots basic technical issues.
    • Performs application deployments and upgrades.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Additional Responsibilities

    - Builds workflow diagrams to support modeling of business processes and development of procedures
    - Documents results of discussions regarding project requirements and procedures. Drafts project procedures based on discussions, documented requirements, and contractual documents
    - Drafts project procedures based on input from project team and other system administrators
    - Develops training documents. Provides training to project staff
    - May act in system administrator role on projects of low to moderate complexity
    - Supports more experienced system administrators in all functions and responsibilities

    Basic Qualification

    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree
    2 years Service Desk or IT Operations experience
    In lieu of education, 6 years Service Desk or IT Operations experience

    Preferred Qualification/Skills

    - 3 years Service Desk or IT Operations experience
    - Help Desk Experience (IT)
    - Document Controls
    - e-Builder Construction Management Software Experience
    - PMIS
    - Construction and Project Management Experience
    - Communication skills
    - Teamwork/Collaboration
    - Problem-solving skills
    - Initiative

    General Work Conditions

    Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
