    Job Summary

    Develops technical solutions and strategies for medium to large sized planning projects to ensure that the client’s technical requirements for all planning aspects of projects are fully met. May serve as a task leader or project manager on a limited basis for select medium scale projects. Regular task assignee on multiple projects.

    Essential Responsibility

    • Prepares scopes of work, fee proposals and assists with responses to RFP’s.
    • Oversees the work of less experienced staff. Assists in directing teams for medium to large scale projects.
    • Responsible for proactively involving other project team members in development of solutions.
    • Performs quality checks to ensure client requirements are met.
    • Identifies and recommends appropriate technical procedures that should be used on a project.
    • Coordinates and interfaces with other project team members during the course of a project.
    • Interfaces with client group and community stakeholders. Responsible for significant portions of presentations and public facilitation.
    • Identifies and recommends appropriate technical procedures that should be used on a project.
    • Prepares technical plans and reports.
    • Prepares written reports on medium to large sized planning projects. Responsible for significant portions of presentations and public facilitation.
    • Prepares technical plans and reports.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Basic Qualification

    Bachelor's degree in Planning or related field
    8 years related experience
    6 years related experience (with Master's degree in Planning or related field)

    Preferred Qualification/Skills

    Travel Demand Modeling Experience – 5 years minimum experience
    Design Traffic Development – 5 years minimum experience
    RLA, RA, PE registration or AICP, CEP certification

    General Work Conditions

    Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
