    Overview

    The time is right to join HNTB Corporation!  HNTB is seeing a Planner III in our Atlanta, GA office.

    Job Summary

    Under general supervision, performs all aspects of planning assignments and may begin to focus expertise. Work emphasizes design and technical aspects of projects but may include limited task assignee duties and tasks associated with business development. May assist in directing small-scale planning projects and portions of larger projects from concept development through project completion.

    Essential Responsibility

    • Finalizes production of environmental documents, transportation plans and reports.
    • Coordinates with sub-consultants and in-house personnel on a regular basis to complete assigned tasks.
    • May oversee the work of less experienced staff.
    • Final production of graphics associated with public meetings, presentation drawings, reports, etc.
    • Uses technical software to perform project analysis.
    • Assists in the preparation of scopes of work, fee proposals and responses to RFP’s.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Additional Responsibilities

    - Experienced in delivering transit system planning studies
    - Experienced with public transit agency planning initiatives such as services standards, transit development plans and comprehensive operations analysis
    - Working knowledge of Public Engagement activities related to transit studies
    - Working knowledge of transit bus and rail operations
    - Has developed sound project management practices

    Basic Qualification

    Bachelor's degree in Planning or related field
    4 years related experience
    2 years related experience (with Master's degree in Planning or related field)

    Preferred Qualification/Skills

    - Master degree in Transportation Planning

    General Work Conditions

    Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
