    HNTB Corporation is currently seeking a Civil Engineer II for our Bellevue, Washington office to support our civil practice.  HNTB is in an exciting period of growth in the Pacific Northwest.

    Job Summary

    • Performing investigative analyses toward completion of assigned design tasks
    • Developing detailed designs, calculations and back-up documentation
    • Developing engineering plans, reports, estimates, and specifications
    • Calculating quantities and developing cost estimates
    • Working as part of a team to check plans, specification and estimates to confirm they are complete, accurate, and in accordance with good engineering practice
    • Working closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects

     

    Essential Responsibility

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 
    • Minimum of 2 years of civil experience
    • Engineer-In-Training certification required
    • Strong written and oral communications skills are required
    • Strong organization skills and collaborative working style

     

    An ideal candidate is someone who can:

    • Complete designs with direction from experienced engineers and project managers
    • Complete work accurately and in accordance with good engineering codes and practice
    • Effectively communicate and coordinate with other more experienced engineers
    • Work in high production, fast moving environment
    • Multi-task and communicate schedule and progress on assigned tasks
    • Complete work on time and within budget
    • Be energetic, self-directed, and success focused

     

    Environment and Physical Requirements: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally.
