The time is right to join HNTB Corporation!  HNTB is currently seeking a Senior Project Manager - Planning in our Atlanta, Georgia office.

Job Summary

Manages multiple, large-scale urban design and/or planning projects.

Essential Responsibility

  • Manages administrative tasks related to the project, including project team assignments and scheduling.
  • Serves as primary point-of-contact with client and other project consultants.
  • Estimates fees, determines work scope and prepares proposals and contracts for large-scale projects.
  • Coordinates all work efforts among project team, project sub-consultants and other disciplines as necessary.
  • Manages client’s budgets, schedule and program and HNTB budget and schedule.
  • Manages project communications and documentation.
  • Manages administrative tasks related to the project, including project team assignments and scheduling.
  • Reviews work of other project team members for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinates and communicates regularly with group director and office leader on progress of projects.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

- Lead and Develop a team of planning professionals.
- Contribute strategic input to client relationship development.
- Participate in professional associations.

Basic Qualification

Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Planning, Architecture or related field
12 years related experience
10 years related experience (Master's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Planning, Architecture or related field)

Preferred Qualification/Skills

- 15 years related experience
RLA, RA, AICP, or CEP certification.

- Experience with Federal Transit Administration Capital investment Grant programs and transit corridor projects.
- Experience leading diverse teams.
- Experience developing and presenting complex project information to diverse audiences and stakeholders
- Experience with transit finance.

General Work Conditions

Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
