    Our Boston, MA. office is seeking a Co-op Engineer - Rotating Departments for Summer/Fall 2018!  This is an exciting opportunity that will provide the right candidate exposure across multiple engineering departments!

    Job Summary

    Under close supervision, assists assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic engineering-related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary engineering curriculum, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.

    Essential Responsibility

    • Assists engineer teams in various tasks and duties.
    • Assists Engineer with research, development and design of projects.
    • Assists Engineer with the preparation of engineering drawings and documents as assigned.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Additional Responsibilities

    Civil Engineering Intern
    Perform basic engineering calculations
    Organize information for use in drawings or other documents
    Assist other engineers in various tasks and duties
    Construction Inspection Intern
    Perform road and bridge inspections
    Provide inspection work to monitor engineering plans and specifications
    Perform mathematical calculations
    Keep daily diaries of inspections
    This role will be based in the Transportation Department but will work intermittently with the Transportation, Contruction Management and Environmental groups. 

    Basic Qualification

    High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program

    Preferred Qualification/Skills

    Completion of 2 years of post-secondary Civil engineering program

    General Work Conditions

    Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
