    HNTB is seeking a Project Analyst I and II levels for our New York, NY Office.



    The Project Analyst works closely with project managers to support 4 for 4 performances on projects: client satisfaction, on schedule, on budget, and quality work. The project analyst performs project analysis, coordination, accounting, and cash duties for an assigned portfolio of projects. 


    Job Summary

    In this full-time professional role, multiple project managers, departments or even offices may be supported. The project analyst is responsible for following and adhering to standard policy and procedures and prescribed guidelines when completing duties. This position usually involves varied work within general procedures which requires judgment and initiative and is expected to be able to balance a heavy workload and competing tasks. This position reports directly to a Sr. Project Analyst or Office or District Business Manager.

    • Monitor, coordinate and analyze estimate to complete reporting and exception reports to ensure accurate reporting based on project performance and perform monthly and quarterly earnings ratio forecast for projects and office.
    • Conduct earnings review (and required analysis) on assigned projects to identify errors and trends. Responsible for making necessary corrections under direction of Project Manager, Office Leader or Business Manager to ensure accurate reporting by established deadlines.
    • Assist in preparing Prime and Sub consultant Agreements and review of compensation (and payment) clauses, salary rates, and determining proper overhead rates.
    • Responsible for timely reporting on issues affecting cash management and project performance and coordinate with Sr. Project Analyst, Office or District Business Manager or Office Operations Manager on complex issues relating to meeting 4 for 4 performance that impact earnings and cash
    • Coordinate and review monthly billing, AP processing and subconsultant payments with Project Services Organization.
    • Ensure effective cash management by working with clients established upfront processes on new contracts. This will require establishing positive relationships with Client counterparts. Research complex AR & Delinquent Billing issues.
      new bullet: Coordinate project review meetings with key stakeholders including PM, Project Delivery Manager, Quality Manager and District Business Manager or Office Operations Manager.  Compile financial documentation and explain issues involving the following: ETC, earnings, budget, cash management, and contracting.


    Essential Responsibility


    Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, or finance or related field plus 4-6 years related experience. 6-8 years exp. in project, accounting or exec admin role in lieu of degree is also acceptable.



    Environment and Physical Requirements: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally.
