The time is right to join HNTB Corporation!  HNTB Corporation is currently seeking a Roadway-Drainage Engineer II for our Milwaukee, Wisconsin office.

Job Summary



  • Perform basic hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and designs relating to storm sewer design, inlet spacing, green infrastructure, and open channel hydraulics
  • Occasionally assist with water resource engineering tasks relating to river restoration design and floodplain analyses
  • Perform analysis and prepare design calculations and drawings
  • Assist with developing plans, specifications, and reports as needed in accordance with good engineering practice;
  • Calculating quantities and developing cost estimates.
  • Working closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.

Essential Responsibility


  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil  or Environmental Engineering required, Master’s degree a plus
  • 2 years of drainage design experience.
  • Experience with stormwater management
  • EIT
  • Familiarity with TR-55 calculations
  • Experience in Microstation and Civil 3D CADD software 
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and oral communications skills are required.


  • Experience with green infrastructure design
  • Familiarity with FHWA and USACE hydraulic design manuals
  • Experience with InRoads Storm and Sanitary, Civil 3D SSA, StormCADD, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and SWMM 

Environment and Physical Requirements: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally.
