Overview

 

HNTB is looking to hire a CADD Technician II to work out of their Cherry Hill, NJ office.  This is a proficient level position. A moderately supervised position in a team environment in which primary responsibilities include preparing drawings with CADD, assist in other aspects of plan preparation such as information gathering and plan production. Focus of responsibilities will generally be related to a specific Engineering sub-type.

Job Summary

  • Ability to manage computer file systems, understand file interrelationships and customize data with the individual files.
  • Ability to identify specific information from substantial amount of related data written information from such sources as legal property descriptions, reports, survey notes, manuals and specifications
  • Ability to read and understand the terminology and symbols used in survey notes, plans, shop drawings, aerial photographs, and maps to interpret data and information for use in designing construction plans and map
  • Ability to accurately transfer information in numerical, written, sketched, or electronic format from sources such as legal descriptions, survey data, aerial photographs, and computer files to final plans and maps
  • Ability to visualize and illustrate concept or design in two or three dimensions.
  • Identifies errors, problems, or non-standard situations and suggests alternatives
  • Develops and implements custom automated drafting and design procedures under supervision
  • Evaluates pros/cons of new drafting /design software.

Essential Responsibility

HS or GED, plus 1-2 years technical school or Associate of Science, plus 3 years experience.
Minimum 1 year experience with MicroStation v8i required and AutoCAD 2012 preferred.
