HNTB is seeking a Construction Program Manager in our New York, NY office.

 

 

HNTB Corporation, a national multidisciplinary firm known and respected for our work in transportation, rail, bridges, aviation, architecture, urban design and planning, environmental engineering, water and construction services, currently has an opening in our New York City Office.

Job Summary

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for leading large teams on construction management/supervision/inspection projects;
  • Good technical skills and ability to interpret contract documents (drawings and specifications);
  • Good negotiating skills.
  • Implement on-site procedures to assist staff in performing their work
  • Collect data to brief Client on Project Issues and provide possible resolutions
  • Review and draft responses to Contractor’s correspondence as required
  • Monitor Contractor progress and compare with reviewed Progress Schedule
  • Oversee Contractor’s quality assurance/quality control effort for compliance;
  • Mentor and train staff
  • Administer JPI’s and Budget
  • Responsible for the hiring, supervision, development, evaluation, and termination of 2 to 4 (or more) staff members, as well as establishing and approving budgets for the group.  

 

Essential Responsibility

Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering with more than 20 years of experience in construction and/or construction management. Experience in managing teams on construction projects. Contractor background and experience in rail projects are preferred.
