Overview

HNTB Corporation is a national employee owned multidisciplinary firm known and respected for our work in bridges, transportation, aviation, architecture, urban design and planning, environmental engineering, water and construction services to federal, state, and private clients. Over 3000 professionals in more than 60 offices nationwide provide design and expertise for bridge, highway, toll roads, and airport planning and design projects. HNTB is currently seeking qualified candidates to serve as a Structural Bridge Engineer III in our Parsippany, NJ office.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will primarily be responsible for providing technical expertise on bridge design projects, detailed structural engineering designs, and preparation of bridge contracts for construction. This individual will help supervise, schedule and check work of project team members and will work closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects. Individual shall be responsible for maintaining good relationships with clients.

Essential Responsibility

  • Bachelors degree in civil/structural engineering; Masters degree in civil/structural engineering as desirable
  • Licensed PE
  • Minimum of 5 years bridge design experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good understanding of practical construction aspects
  • Past experience with NJDOT and NJ Turnpike projects is highly desired.
