The time is right to join HNTB Corporation!  HNTB Architecture, is an award winning, multidisciplinary firm known and respected for its work in aviation, sports, convention centers, transit, and other architectural services.  We are currently seeking an Cost Analyst II to support our New York, NY office.  This position will full have responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating design assignments for transit projects. 

Job Summary

  • Typically responsible for several cost functions related to project budgeting for our clients (e.g., budget/cost management, change management, forecasting, contingency management).
  • May manage budget/cost function for a small project or portion of a project.
  • Operates budget/cost system, including documenting and tracking changes to budget, commitments, and expenditures.
  • Supports change order process, including recording EAC impacts of potential or requested change orders.
  • Reviews and analyzes monthly project invoices from contractor and other vendors.
  • Supports Team Lead/Senior Cost Analysts in performing cost risk assessments. 
  • Generates standard and ad hoc reports as guided by senior cost or project controls manager. 
  • Tracks project estimate-at-completion (EAC) by recording all potential changes to cost accounts, including change orders, trends, and deviations. 
  • Establish and tracks contingency allocation. 
  • Forecast costs and records updated forecasts as provided by project team.

Essential Responsibility

  • Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Mgmt or Business 2 years related experience Without preferred degree, 6 years� experience in project controls required.
  • Preferred Qualifications: AACE CCT (Certified Cost Technician)
  • Transportation construction Experience.
