Overview

HNTB is seeking a Senior Aviation Architect Project Manager to join our Los Angeles office. 

 

The candidate for this position will be a strategic member of the office and will have responsibility for serving key clients on some of the largest most cutting-edge and complex Aviation projects being conceived, planned, and designed today while supporting the pursuit of future projects.  The candidate is expected to have comprehensive experience and knowledge of current and future trends in Aviation Architecture.  Assembling and orchestrating talented and forward-looking consultant teams are critical to project success and to differentiating HNTB as a thought leader in Aviation Architecture.  The candidate shall have demonstrated vision, advanced technical know-how and proven ability to deliver.

Job Summary

  • Responsibility for managing all aspects of multiple projects while conforming with HNTB delivery standards.
  • Management of projects within the parameters of established quality, scope, budget and schedule.
  • Serving as a liaison with clients to communicate project questions, comments, design as well as management issues and other general information.
  • Coordinating administrative aspects of the project including communication, documentation and project team assignments.
  • Providing technical interface and lead inter-disciplinary design coordination on projects where required. 
  • May act in team lead / expert resource capacity on the most complex projects.
  • Preparation of proposals including fee development and determination of scope of work and assistance in business and contract negotiations.
  • Review of third party proposals, scopes and contracts.
  • Planning, tracking and reporting on project costs, budgeting and staffing.
  • Identification of opportunities and development of strategic plans for business development of aviation/transit/transportation architecture pursuits with office leader and sales manager.
  • Supporting and engaging in HNTB’s established quality management program.
  • Serving as a champion for the team.

Essential Responsibility

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Architecture.
  • 10-plus years of related experience required.
  • Registered Architect required.
  • Experience working with Aviation clients required.
  • Experience working with large multi-disciplinary design teams required.
  • Working knowledge of BIM/REVIT preferred
  • NCARB preferred
