Job Summary

  • Implement on-site procedures to assist staff in performing their work
  • Collect data to brief Client on Project Issues and provide possible resolutions
  • Coordinate with Client for staff assignment on multiple task order based contracts.
  • Review and draft responses to Contractor’s correspondence as required
  • Read and Interpret plans
  • Monitor Contractor progress and compare with reviewed Progress Schedule
  • Mentor and train staff
  • Administer JPI’s and Budget
  • Develop and nurture key client relationships and serve as one of the primary company contacts on the program.
  • Experience in all aspects of the project including scope development, change/claims negotiations, cost control, staff management, quality control and cash management.
  • Actively manage client’s budget, schedule and project; HNTB budget and schedule; project communications and documentation.
  • Satisfies client requirements.
  • Administers relevant aspects of a formal quality assurance/control program.
  • Coordinates work efforts and reviews work performed and all project plans.
  • Responsible for managing and delivering quality civil rail and transit transportation projects on-time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Identify and market additional business opportunities within the program.
  • Plan, direct, supervise, and the execution of all Field inspection and technical functions of the assigned project. Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates based on qualifications and strengths.
  • Experience in establishment of Project Management Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other documents as required.

Essential Responsibility

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline, plus a minimum of 20 years of experience in construction, management and implementation of civil transportation projects.
  • CA PE
  • Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is desired.
  • Experience in managing construction projects involving multiple phased contracts and multiple contractors.
  • Experience supervising construction staff.
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary construction environment is preferred.
  • Individual must be energetic, self-directed and success focused.
  • Must have a proven ability to perform in a management capacity, strong written and oral communication skills and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are required.

Environment and Physical Requirements: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to unpleasant and/or hazardous working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently throughout an eight-hour period, reach vertically for overhead use as well as horizontally.
