Overview

The time is right to join HNTB Corporation!  HNTB is currently seeking a Complex Bridge Representative in our Corpus Christin office to work on the exciting Harbor Bridge Project.

 

The successful applicant must work in Corpus Christi. and will have opportunity to work on Harbor Bridge construction representing the Owner, providing oversight on cable stayed, segmental concrete bridge construction.  The candidate will be responsible for effectively monitoring and documenting activities of the Developer’s Quality Control and Quality Assurance teams, verifying conformance with complex bridge contractual requirements.  The candidate will be responsible for objectively documenting observations, work conformance and non-compliance related corrective/preventive actions.  The candidate will be responsible for verifying that project records are maintained in accordance with project specific policies and procedures, identifying in a timely manner, potential and actual construction issues. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring the Developer’s progress, and verifying accuracy of Contractor’s CPM Schedule updates.  “Healthy” computer skill sets are necessary, due to Electronic Project Delivery System project requirements.  Successful candidates will be able to provide current contact information for prior supervisory references, who can verify relevant past field responsibilities and services that have been effectively delivered, and in a collaborative manner.

Job Summary

  • Field liaison between client, contractor, and design staff in Mega Project Design-Build Environment.
  • Implement plans and specification, working closely with Developer’s Quality Acceptance and Quality Control teams. Prepares project correspondence.
  • Facilitates project progress meetings.
  • Prepares and monitors internal HNTB project controls.
  • Assists in the overall administration of project.
  • Assures construction activities are in accordance with contractual documents and completed within budget and schedule.

Essential Responsibility

  • High School Diploma or GED plus 15 years construction related experience.
  • Four year degree strongly preferred.
  • All jurisdictional certifications as required.

 

A minimum of tem (10) years of general bridge construction oversight inspection experience, including at least two (2) years in post-tensioned bridge construction.  Such experience shall include responsibility for monitoring of post-tensioning and grouting operations, with at least one (1) year as the Lead Inspector in responsible charge of inspection is preferred.

 

Current certification under “Post-Tensioning Training Course” by Post-Tensioning Institute (PTI) preferred.

Current certification under “Grouting Certification Course” under American Segmental Bridge Institute (ASBI) preferred.

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or construction related degree preferred.

Demonstrated familiarity with mega-project quality management systems and processes preferred.

Past experience monitoring conformance to requirements of TxDOT Design-Build Quality Assurance Program preferred.
